STAR, written by Joe Cox and Jody Lindh, is a joyful musical theatre piece that brings the story of David into a lively, contemporary idiom. The work, which received its world premiere in 1984 to critical acclaim, incorporates singing, dancing, creative visuals, lights and costumes. STAR has been performed by many church youth choirs around the country, most recently by young people from Spring Valley United Methodist, who took the show to Chicago on a recent tour. These pictures are from that production.
